Drueke

WM. F. DRUEKE AND SONS, INC was created in 1914. It is one of the oldest manufacturers of Chess Sets. The company was founded by William F. Drueke at Grand rapids (Michigan). In 1987, they ceased their activities and were sold to Low Tech Company which kept the Drueke name as a brand. In 1990, the Carrom Company bought them and moved the manufacture to Ludington (Michigan). The Carrom Company is still in activity and use the Drueke brand name for their board games.
This company has its right place here: ARB and Prestige, 2 famous chess computers, were wood boards manufactured by Drueke.
