PERI SPIELE, Austrian company, located in Scharnstein, founded in 1959 by Erich Perner. Wolfgang Perner succeeded to his father and, in 1984, created PPG Perner Publishing Group, a Swiss branch of Peri. In February 1996, Peri went bankrupt. In 1996, Perner Produktions was founded by Wolfgang Perner. He kept the brand of Peri Spiele. In 2004, Perner Produktions went bankrupt. Their production of chess computers was based on hardware/software from Fidelity electronics, coming essentially from the Fidelity Designer Model.
