Hanimex Computachess, HCG 1700, 1982

Australian distributor and manufacturer (primarily photographic equipment) was founded in 1947 by Jack Hannes (HANnes+ IMport + EXport = Hanimex). Licensed/distributed Chess computers of CXG Newcrest Technology Ltd (CXG Systems). In 1989, Gestetner purchased Hanimex. Some years later, Gestetner was bought by Ricoh in 1995. In 2004, Fujifilm acquired Hanimex from Ricoh and discontinued the use of the Hanimex brand.
