Two were to sell on eBay from September to November 2021. Probably, more will appear. One had blond wood and the second dark walnut wood. For the moment, I put this computer is the X-RARE category (eXtremely-RARE), but I will lower the category if more exemplars appear.
This one was built in 1990, and its id number is 1432.
The computer was opened and I took some photos: the microprocessor and all the components of the motherboard are easily identifiable. The KR580VM80A (Russian: КР580ВМ80А) is a Soviet microprocessor. It is a clone of the Intel 8080 CPU. Its clock speed is between 2 and 2.5 MHz.
On the software side, the program was developed by E. Surmin and S. Korbatov and apparently is not a clone of a western program.
An interesting game between the Strategist and the Intellect-01 (both of the computers are part of the ChessEval Collection and both have identified soviet programmers):
The Strategist Стратег participated to the First Soviet Computer Championship in 1988.
