However, Fidelity was the first in this race and put on the market the Chess Challenger 1 several months before them.
Moreover, the program of the Compuchess was copied by a company from Hong Kong.
They sued the Company and lost...
Without any doubt, they were copied, but unfortunately they were not protecting appropriately their copyright according to the court.
They were the first victim of inadequate protection of software rights.
They disappeared very fast after the judgment.
