Playing Chess online...

Post by CHVL » Sun Nov 12, 2017 6:52 am

Playing chess online is an attractive solution to play at distance with friends or chess engines.
Nowadays, the online platforms allow the player to use his own chess board connected to the computer. The answers to your moves could come from human beings or chess computer opponents.

The site Chess.com has decided to organize a competition with chess engines able to connect to Speed Chess, an online chess platform.
This will be the first annual Chess.com Computer Chess Championship (CCCC).
This event will select the best chess engine at the format of Speed Chess.

Chess Engines..

Post by CHVL » Sun Nov 12, 2017 6:06 pm

Since Ruud initiated the use of chess engines on modern dedicated chess computers, chess engines have captivated the attention.
With his Gavon series, Josu has integrated 80 chess engines and successfully connected them to the BT or USB DGT Project boards.
All these chess engines could be used on modern dedicated chess computers or on online platforms or on computer platforms connected to a dedicated chess board as the DGT.

The performance of these chess engines are not very well known, it is why the initiative of chess.com could be very interesting.
