I am searching information on the Russian USSR Intellect series.
I found the excellent webpage of Mike Watters on the Intellect-02. Nothing on the Intellect-01.
I know the IM series from Electronika, but the Intellect series is more interesting because it seems that, at least, one of the 2 models had an original Russian program.

Re: Soviet Intellect-01 and Intellect-02
Unfortunately, this link is for the Elektronika computers. I didn't find information on Intellect series on this website.Maybe this link will help u ?

The Intellect computers are from another manufacturer: it seems that they did only 2 models:
- the Intellect-01 had an original Russian program;
- the Intellect-02 is only a clone of the Fidelity CC3.
I found the following information:
- it was a discussion on Hiarcs: http://hiarcs.net/forums/viewtopic.php? ... fd50a9cdd0
- Mike Watters did an excellent presentation of the Intellect-02: http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/intellect_-02.html
However, unfortunately, no information on the Intellect-01...

Re: Soviet Intellect-01 and Intellect-02
Hello Hans,
As you see, I am specifically searching information on the Intellect-01.
In fact, I think that I found one. This would contradict the theory that the Intellect-01 was only a prototype, but I will wait to have it in my hands.
The interesting point is that it seems that the Intellect-01 was running an original Russian program by Y. Kubinov. This computer was participating to the First Soviet Computer Championship in 1988: http://chessprogramming.wikispaces.com/ ... nship+1988
