Hi,

Why doesn't he/she glue the magnet instead of using adhesive tape?

Hello Berger,

Right!
and also, working or not?
The module A 5.5 MHz?
What do you think of that?
The board seems beautiful, in perfect shape.

Hi Maurice,

It seems to be working. Although it is strange that the C2 LED is on. It's 'White turn' and that LED is on? If you press the 'hint' key, I think that the computer indicates source and destination squares. So it seems that he/she has moved a few pieces 'by hand', and that the computer doesn't work because the C2 sensor (reed switch) is faulty... at least this sensor: In my experience, the quality of the reed switches used by Conchess is low, and could be other reed switches in bad condition.

As for the module, I don't know what 'A' means:

1) 'A' for Standard? i.e. the first version? It wasn't marketed on 5.5 MHz, was it?

2) 'A' for Amsterdam?

But it's a nice board, with wood in good condition, and it can be repaired if it has any defects in the electronics.

Best regards,
Berger

We have exactly the same experience of Conchess... like many people: the reed switches are defect most of the time.
I think that this is a standard module A, but probably modified or it could be an Amsterdam. In such case, it would become interesting :D
