A beautiful computer... I prefer it to the Decorator.

The board is fascinating: in wood, true work of an artisan, not an industrial process... I remember have been intrigued... not without reasons: remember the ARB has a board that was done by a Company well known for their wood chess boards: the Drueke company. Without conviction, I searched around Fidelity which Company could have made the original Chess board. I was searching in USA and in Germany and that was a mistake. During many years, I forgot all of that until during a trip to Paris, inadvertently, I was facing in a little shop near the Seine river a board similar to the Grand Master except the fact that it had no computer and no drawers for the chessmen. I bought the board thinking that it was only a coincidence and that maybe Fidelity was copying the board. No... it was the board itself, made in France. So, the explanation is the following: the Grand Master is made of 2 different pieces adjusted to be one: one is the original French board, full wood, and the other part is in plywood and accommodates the 2 drawers for the chessmen and the opening on the keyboard of the computer beneath the board.
