Like many companies, Mercedes offered corporate gadgets as gifts under various forms (branded under their name and logo), and because of the German people's interest for chess, chess board games (manufactured by others or exceptionally designed and made in their own manufacture).

This is a Vintage Pocket Chess from the 70s/80s.
Made by a German company called "Aachen Design", and offered by Mercedes-Benz as a promotional gift.
Chessmen have steel pegs and the board is in Bakelite.
A maze game is in the back of the board.
Dimensions: 20 x 14 cm
All design parts are marked with different very original symbols and are designed to be stored in the side drawers for transport.
The set is in perfect condition with original box, instructions, chessmen.
